Gabriel was introduced to Decorative Painting by a wonderful woman called Tahira Lewis in London, who taught her how to hold a round brush and paint comma strokes. She subsequently stumbled across the Queen of Brushstrokes, Maureen McNaughton, at a BADFA (The British Association of Decorative and Folk Arts) painting convention. As a result of this, her first love is brushstoke work but she continues to enjoy and develop other aspects of Decorative Painting - drybrush work, wet on wet, texture and faux effects. She is a member of the Jo Sonja UK Creative Possibilities group, BADFA and the American Society of Decorative Painters. Unfortunately, due to work commitments Gabriel is unable to take commissions at this time.
